PLAN. SHADRACK MBUTA
Holds a Master’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from the University of Nairobi. He is a trained Planner and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Nairobi. He also holds a certificate in Environmental Management and Planning from Africa Nazarene University. He is a corporate member of the Kenya Institute of Planners (KIP) and the current Ass. Registrar and a Governing Council member of the Kenya Institute of Planners (KIP).
He is a registered Lead Expert by the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) as an Expert on Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA & E.I.A) and Environmental Audit (E.A). He has work and research experience in planning, environment and social development issues. Over the years, he has gained valuable knowledge and experience in research methods, project proposal writing, technical report preparation, public participation methodologies and advocacy.
He has gained experience in physical planning and Environmental Impact Assessment as well as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) through working either individually or with a team of other experts in various projects.
He is currently a Director and an Ass. Planner with iPlan Consult (Int’l) Limited a Kenyan based consulting company offering specialty-consulting services in in the fields of Urban and Regional Planning, Land Management Consultancy, Socio-Economic Research, GIS/GPS Mapping, Project Management and Environmental Management and Feasibility Studies.
