Planning plays a critical role in ensuring food security and ecosystem management, and innovative, sustainable and climate-resilient food systems must be embraced. The government remains committed to this agenda through policies like Vision 2030, the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), and the ongoing review of the National Land Policy. Planners are encouraged to actively contribute to optimal and sustainable land use to address food insecurity and climate challenges. The adoption of innovative planning concepts and best practices is essential in driving policy reforms and enhancing national productivity.”
