Kisii County Dialogue
The Counties Dialogue was launched in Kisii County during a three-day event consisting of a one-day high level Dialogue and one-day Sub County Clinics in Ogembo and Keumbu
The first edition of the Counties Dialogue was held on 18th and 19th March, 2025. The first day of the dialogue featured a Sensitization meeting with County leadership at Kamel Park Hotel. The session featured presentations, panel discussions and a plenary session which unraveled key land issues including land fragmentation, succession and land transfer issues as well as registration and adjudication issues.
Kisii County Land Clinics
The second day of the Dialogue in Kisii involved land clinics at Ogembo and Keumbu Sub Counties. Here, community members interacted with the land experts and got tailored advice and guidance regarding their land issues.
The Kisii Counties Dialogue and Land Clinics on Land Governance and Land Use Planning
was an overwhelmingly successful and insightful event, setting a strong precedent for
future initiatives of this nature. As a pilot project, it surpassed the expectations of the
organizers, demonstrating the immense potential of this approach to address the complex
and pressing land governance challenges faced by communities.
